| As a new economic organization form, industrial cluster sharpens competitive edge for most of the industries. To auto industry, the cluster effect will be more considerable. Since the international auto industry has been developed through this economic organization form, China auto industry, as part of the international one, must also be developed and grow through this cluster mode. So researches on the auto industrial cluster in China are significant. Based on the related theories and findings of current industrial cluster studies, this paper gives an analysis on Fujian auto industry by theoretical, empirical, qualitative and quantitative research methods. Firstly, by using location quotient approach and Michael Porter Diamond model, this paper concludes that two fledgling auto industrial clusters have appeared in the middle and southern parts of Fujian province, and regional cluster phenomena in the northwestern part. But those clusters lack the overall competitiveness and need improvement by developing the industrial cluster. Then, by SWOT approach, this paper analyzes the potential advantages, opportunities, disadvantages and threats for the development of Fujian auto industrial cluster. Lastly, based on the analyses above, the paper provides ideas and measures for promoting the development of Fujian auto industrial cluster. |
