Research On The Possessing Capacity Of Taxi

With the development of economics and improvement of people's living standard, the taxi as a part of the urban public transport has good effects on economy and residents' trips, and to some extent the taxi also stands the development of urban for the level of the urban modernization. But with the development of taxi industry, the possessing capacity of taxi has been a focus of discussion. So in order to effectively resolve the problems in the planning of developing the possessing capacity of taxi, and make the taxi transport mode develop healthily and orderly, this paper made an attempt to discuss the amount of the taxi.There is not much research about taxi at home and abroad. The people's travel features and economic conditions are not taken into account when determining the possessing capacity of taxi. Different people have different vehicles, so the probability of choosing taxi is different. There are three target to respectively evaluate the reasonable extent of taxi , which are the utilization of taxi mileage , the rate of taxi loaded and the taxi number of 10,000people.The reasonable extent of taxi has not been evaluated synthetically.First of all, it is expatiated concretely and thoroughly that the characteristic of taxi trade and the position and the role. It is played in Urban Public Traffic System in this paper. The historical and present development of taxi industry has been analyzed. There are some different influencing factors to the amount of taxi. From travel time, travel costs and comfort of various traffic mode we get the probability of choosing the taxi of different travel groups. And then according to the supply-demand balance system and the total urban population trip, we determine the possessing capacity of taxi. Then, the matter element analysis method and AHP with expert survey method are introduced in the evaluating system. The level of association of the unit being evaluated is established and according to that we get the reasonable extent of taxi in accordance with the principle of the largest membership. At last, Based on the detailed analysis of a certain city, the reasonable extent of taxi is good. Through calculation we get the possessing capacity of taxi .By compared with the current possessing capacity of taxi we know that the supply is more than demand.In this paper the probability of choosing taxi of the urban population has been identified. And according to the supply-demand balance system the possessing capacity of taxi is determined. A new method to evaluate the reasonable extent of taxi is put forward, which is the multi-objective synthetical method based on matter-element analysis and AHP with expert survey.
