With the development of integration of word economy, manufacturing walked up to information times from industrialized times, external environment of enterprises has changed enormously: united market was turned into diversification market, demand is instability, sellers' market was turned into buyers' market, customer's requirements are getting more and more critical, technology is renovated quickly, life cycle and developing cycle of products become shorter and shorter, time of delivery has become the key factor of competition. Therefore, enterprises must provide the products that has both low cost and customization. In this background, the traditional production modes with the advantage of economy of scale has no longer advantages, Mass Customization combines Mass Production with traditional customized production and syncretizes advanced methods of production and conceptions of management, it is the integration system. MC will be the frontier of enterprises competition in the 21 century.This thesis takes Mass Customization mode as its background to study how to balances customers' demands and companies' profit and ascertains the most rational optimized customization level of the manufacturing enterprises based on the ready development level, limited customized ability, time and cost.This paper first introduced the background of the subject which includes changes of market and competition of manufacturing in the 21 century, and developing process of production modes. Then the paper gives a brief summary of the domestic and abroad research, and makes contrasts between MC and the others production modes. it also gives the presentation about the basic concept and successful method of MC mode.This paper from the third chapter and the seventh chapter are the most important and core contents, they are the propulsive relation. Requirements of customers are the first problem which is needed to solve as soon as quickly in MC enterprises. This paper analyzes customized requirement according to the methods of QFD(Quality Functional Deployment) and sets up a digital matrix. It puts forward cluster analysis theory to gather some similar customers' requirements in one sort, then enterprises organize to produce in sorts or groups according to the different customization level. Based on the foregoing, the mathematic model of relationship among customization level, demand of products and firm's profit is established. Coupling Relation among customization, time and cost is broken. Then this paper studies further that how to make a rational decision based on the ready limited customized ability between the customers' maximum satisfaction and the enterprises' maximum profit. From this point of view, it sets up two mathematic models which include individual corporation and the corporation situated in supply chain to ascertain the optimized customization level.As a typical example, the eighth chapter introduces the Haier which is the best company in domestic family machine manufacturing, in order to exhibit the tremendous economic value and social significance based on MC mode.At the end of the thesis, it summarizes the contents, the main analysis methods and the innovation, then proposes new matters and direction of research.
