Information and communication industry has become one of the basic industries in the national economy. It plays an important role in the national economic construction as well as people's daily life. There has been rapid development in recent years, the progress of informationization in Gansu rural areas is relatively slow due to geographical, economical, policy, technological reasons. Some rural areas still lag behind the communication development even without telephone connection. Bad traffic conditions and lacking of information have held back the local economic development and isolated the local people from outside world. These areas are "empty zone" in the telecommunication service and the residents are marginalized from information point of view.According to the great strategy of building up a new socialist countryside and the rapid development technology of information and communication, it becomes more and more important to speed up the development of informationization in Gansu rural area. This is not only a key task for Gansu government but also a significant and urgent subject for the communication operators such as Gansu Telecom, Mobile, Unicom, Netcom, etc. The wider application of advanced communication technologies in Gansu rural areas will benefit the 18 million residents in improving their living standards and achieving economic revitalization. This will also narrow the gap between these areas and cities.Therefore, based on through research on rural area informationization status and problems of Gansu province, this paper deeply analyzed factors including political environment, economic environment, industrial environment and inner enterprise environment, which Gansu Telecom laces when expanding informationization market in rural areas; proposed the construction strategies and the business marketing strategies of the Gansu telecom countryside informationization expanded. The study will be a valuable reference to final implementing decision and marketing, and will be an important guideline to help the company expand rural information market, keep healthy, sustainable, stable development. .
