With the advance of economic globalization and the establishment of the world market, global competition has become increasingly fierce. Traditional production and business model has become increasingly slow and passive. To win the global competition, enterprises must reexamine its development strategy and production mode. Supply chain management (SCM) is a new management mode, adapting the development and change of management mode in new economic environment. SCM has shown strong vitality in the practice. SCM has changed the traditional vertically integrated enterprise management. It emphasizes the core competitiveness and strategic cooperation of enterprises, stresses customer-centered operation, focuses on rapid reaction capabilities and creates the greatest customer value, advances technology to lower the overall costs. Supply chain management, as a new pattern of management and operation, has become the most important means for enterprises to grow strong in the international competition.With the drive of economic globalization, the operating scope of the enterprises expands in the world, so that transnational supply chain is formed. Transnational supply chain manages and coordinates the chain from international perspective. It should not only consider the core enterprise management, also should pay attention to integrate resources and advantages between enterprises in supply chain, and ultimately achieves a win-win situation. The transnational supply chain has more difficulty and risk than domestic supply chain, but simultaneously has higher income. This article has emphatically studied the characteristic and pattern of transnational supply chain, in order to provide certain reference for the enterprise in the international competition.After entering WTO, Chinese enterprises are facing much more complex competition environment. SCM is not only the important means to improve competition ability, but also the necessary route to join international divide. This article analyses the rule of transnational supply chain , and brings forward the problem of Chinese enterprises and corresponding measure.This article divides into five parts, demonstrating transnational supply chain from the different angle. The first part introduced the background and the significance of selected topic, including the domestic and foreign research situation; The second part demonstrates the elementary theory of supply chain management, analyzes the characteristic and the type of transnational supply chain, and narrates three elementary theories which the development of transnational supply chain rested on; The third part has analyzes the difficult problem which transnational supply chain faces, as well as the feasibility of transnational supply chain management. After that, this part stresses point to analyze how the structure, logistics, transportation, financial control and politic influence the transnational supply chain; The fourth part compares and the analyses three cases, Dell, Hair and Wal-Mart, which have their own characteristics in their supply chain management. It induces ability and direction which the successful transnational supply chain needs to develop; The fifth part proposed three methods to optimize transnational supply chain on basis of experiences of advanced enterprise's, those are using detention strategy, outsourcing and constructing strategy alliance of the supply chain. The sixth part first analyzes the question our country's enterprise facing from two aspects. Accordingly, provides some suggestions to our country enterprise how manage the transnational supply chain from three levels.
