The Changes In The Spatial Structure Of Chengdu Area And The Coordinated Development Of Metropolitan Area

"Metropolitan" is the due result of changes in the aspect of social economics and spatial structure of a big city. The practical meaning of the topic of this dissertation is to affirm the achievements and problems of the social and economic developments of Chengdu Area and find the ways to deal with the problems. The theoretical meaning of the study is to answer the disputes with regards to the theory of city-construction, metropolitan area, special structure of city, coordinated development.The perspective of this study is the changes of the spatial structure of city and its promoting function to the coordinated development of metropolitan area. The main ways of this study include: unite of micro-study and macro-study; causal analyze; analyze of elements of data; dialectical.The main ideas of the dissertation are following. The changes of the Chengdu Area spatial structure show some characters of coordination and rationality in the whole, but from the view of perfection of the coordinated development it still has the following problem. 1. The disparity of product purchasing power between the cores areas and the non-periphery area expanded because of the disparities in the fields such as staff average wages, the anti-risk ability, the optimization of transportation and others factors, the medical health condition, social security system. 2. The industrial structure of the periphery areas county is simple and its rank is lower: its industrial structure built repeatedly; the product assimilates day by day; the content of product technology and the value of attachment are extremely difficult to enhance. 3. With the increase of special distance it becomes weaker that cores areas influence the periphery area county in the market. 4. The vertical administration pattern limits the development of market. 5. Local authority's regional protectionism hinders the reasonable adjustment of the entire city spatial structure. 6. Many excessively changes of the administrative area injure the necessity stability of the spatial structure.The main new creativities of the study include: 1 the new ideas, such as the definition of spatial structure that its main contents are special structure of industry and special structure of population; the analyzing of the problems of the changes of special structures Chengdu Area and the ways to overcome those problems. 2 the new perspectives and new ways of study, such as affirming the special distributions of economic growth through the analyzing the elements of data, and studying the changes of the spatial structure of Chengdu on the background of the construction of Chengdu Area as a metropolitan area.
