Comment And Analysis On Max Weber's Economic Ethic Thoughts

Max Weber is the thinker who is the first person proposed the conception of economic ethics, he concentrated on studying the economic ethics based on religious, and believed that every religion has unique economic ethics itself. The religion has the vital role to mould economic ethics, but, Weber thinks the role is not decisive and absolute. Because that there is no economic ethics to be decided only by the religion. From the view of Weber, Christianity Protestantism is one of reasons promoting the creation of Capitalism, other religions do not have economic rationality to promote the creation of Capitalism.This thesis mainly studies Max Weber's economic ethics thought, based on《the Protestant ethic and the spirit of capitalism》and《Confucianism and Taoism》as well as his other works. Mainly includes four parts:Part one: This thesis introduces the background of the Max Weber economic ethics. It reveals the realistic background and theory origin of Max Weber's economic ethics from the living ages, received formative education and academic influence.Part two: This thesis discusses the content of Weber's economic ethics thought. And the reason that why the eastern country can not been able to develop the national capitalism from the Protestantism ethics promoting the rational establishment of Capitalism. Mainly introduces the major thought of Weber economic ethic such as the vocation notion, the capitalist spire, asceticism and Confucianism and Taoism traditionalism characteristic.Part three: This thesis Evaluates Weber's economic ethics. Mainly discusses the rationality and the limitation of Weber's economic ethics thought.Part four: This thesis Emphasizes to discuss the enlightenment of Weber's economic ethic thought to our country's socialist market economy system construction.Firstly, investigated the problem of economic ethics existed in China, and the positive factors include in Confucianism that benefit the socialism market economy. Secondly, based on this, puts forward the request of building up the modern socialism ethics. That take our country's outstanding traditional culture as the corner-stone and combine the rational connotation of Weber's Economic Ethic Thoughts.Web's research on Protestant ethic spirit not only established his academic status in the research area of sociological and ethics. But also caused the argument and the ponder on the relations between Confucianism and modernization in Chinese cultural circle. The influence of"Web's problems"does not lie in whether its conclusion is correct but provides for us another way of thinking how morals participate economic development.
