Research On The Comparison Of Urbanization For Shandong Peninsula, Central Plains And Guanzhong Urban Agglomeration

Urbanization has been one of the focuses of Chinese geography circle since Reform and Opening up. Urban agglomeration is the superior shape of urbanization. Presently the research on the urbanization of urban agglomerations is not much. Shandong Peninsula Urban agglomeration, Central Plains Urban agglomeration and Guanzhong Urban agglomeration are all located in the Yellow River Basin. Coinciding with the opening up of the East, rise of the central region and development of the West, I try to find the gap among the three urban agglomerations through the research on their differences of urbanization and explore the measures to narrow the gap and to promote the overall levels.Firstly, to analyze the level of urbanization of the three urban agglomerations. Through the comparison among the urbanization rate, the flexibility index of urbanization, the city population size, urban primary index,I get that the level of urbanization of Shandong Peninsula is relatively high and fast; the Central Plain urban agglomeration and Guanzhong Urban agglomeration is relatively low and slow. But the overall level of the three urban agglomerations is relatively low, and the urban population scale of the three urban agglomerations is not quite reasonable. The gathering capabilities of the Shandong Peninsula Urban agglomeration and the Central Plain Urban agglomeration are weak, and the population scale of subordinate central cities can't meet the radiant function of the prior central cities in Guanzhong Urban agglomeration. The urban agglomeration grading scale system was abnormal.Secondly, to analyze the correlation between the urbanization of the three urban agglomerations and economy, and get that the relevance between Shandong Pennisula and its economy is the most closely, the Central Plains at the center and Guanzhong at the least. Then further compare the relations between industrial structures of the three `urban agglomerations and urbanization, and find out that the industrial structures of the three urban agglomerations on the whole are all like that the first industry decline in the proportion of industries, secondary and tertiary industries are rising gradually, but less in the tertiary industry.The industrial structure of the three urban agglomerations are all clearly the"second tertiary primary"type, but differently, the second industry is the strongest role to promote the urbanization in the Shandong Peninsula urban agglomerations, the secondary and tertiary industries are generally role to promote the urbanization in Central Plainsurban agglomerations , the tertiary industry is stronger on the positive effects of urbanization, and the role of the secondary industry is in general to promote the urbanization in Guanzhong Urban agglomeration.Thirdly, to use the grey correlation method to calculate the correlation among the associated factors of urbanization of various urban agglomerations. According to that, try to find out that the associated factors of urbanization of the three urban agglomerations are diverse, and to identify common factors by comparison. Among those, the development of secondary and tertiary industries, natural factors, population bearing capacity, medical and health conditions and so on promoted the urbanization of the three urban agglomerations deeply.Finally, to identify the reasons why the urbanization of the three urban agglomerations on the whole fall behind in accord with the results of the above analysis of grey correlation and the concrete reasons about the differences among the urbanization of the three urban agglomerations, and present the favorable measures to the healthy development of urbanization of the three urban agglomerations.The innovation of this paper lies in the follows:to analyze the differences among the urbanization development of the three urban agglomerations from various angles systematically, find out the reasons of the emergence of the difference and bring out the corresponding countermeasures. This makes up for some gaps of present research and the research on the urban agglomerations will be the further refinement of the research on the urbanization.
