Study On Modern Iran's Industrial Structure

Industrial structure plays an important role in the quality of national economy.The pace and the level of economic development of a country or a region and the amount of its NI (National Income),are mainly decided by its industrial Structure.With reasonable industrial structure,resources' allocation will be optimal,the capability of producing social wealth will be enhanced,and national economy will run sustainably,rapidly and healthily.The aim of studying industry structure is to grasp its stage,trend and influencing factors,in order to carry out relevant methods for upgrading industrial structure,then for the sustainable,healthy and harmonious economic growth.The aim of research on Iranian industrial structure and transformation is to extend and improve the economic and trade relationship between both countries,thus serving a research base and academic discussion for a thorough implementation of Open Policy in new age of China and extrovert style energy strategies as well as improvement of Chinese Iranian research in terms of political geography.We can draw the conclusion that,Islamic Republic,at present,has initially established an integral national economic system,Iranian economy is increasing gradually,and industrial structure is tending in reasonable especially since 1990s with practical policies implemented by several governments.But there are remain many problems on Iran's industry structure.For example over depend on oil,the rate of production of the tertiary industry turn down,three industrial structure adjustments become harder and harder.Iran is confronted with a new huge adjustment in industrial structure.Taking Iranian economic growth since the establishment of Islamic Republic as background,this article puts stress on the deep analysis in its industrial structure's transformation,characters as well as problems from 1990s to early 21^stcentury and reasons from 1990s to the early 21st century.By comparing Iranian real production stucture, employment structure,comparative labor efficiency,and deviation degree of industrial structure with theoretical models,Iranian nowadays industrial structure has been concluded, as well as advantages and disadvantages has also been pointed out as follows:to start with, Iranian industrial structure's transformation,which is tending in reasonable,is in line with the transformation law,whose first industrial rate of production values declines continuously, compared with gradual increase in the rate of secondary and tertiary industry.However,the speed of its industrial transformation is obviously different with that in the average countries. In addition,although industries are tending in corresponded with each other,meanwhile,the gap among the three's comparative labor efficiency is bridging gradually,the structure within one industry is contradicted.Furthermore,national economy excessively depends on oil industry,whose exportation provides Iran with main national income,which exerts bad influences on the industrial structure's transformation,and puts Iran in an unfavorable position in the international economy and politics.Moreover,the stability is enhancing at the time of decline in the abruption and fluctuation of Iranian industrial structure development. Thus,this structure will be upgraded under the integrated effects brought by many factors. Last but not least,we bring forward the suggestions of how to optimize the industry structure of Iran to the shortcomings:opening economic policy,improving exports structure,impelling interactions between goods trade structure and industry structure to turn well,changing great status of oil industry to realize diversification development of industry;taking measures to guide FDI to fields which is benefit for Iran's industrial structure adjustment.Accelerating the speed of transformation in traditional industries,developing knowledge industry,as well as improving the transformation in industrial structure.The innovations in this article are summarized as follows:1.Theories namely Industrial Economics,Economic Geography,Regional Economics,etc are been used as tools to research Iranian industrial structure.2.New research methods:SPSS and other soft wares are been used to analyse figures in data-management fields.3.The field called Iranian industrial structure transformation especially since 1990s is not often researched by academic circle.Shortcomings in this article:firstly,basic datum are not convinced enough,such as figures about the proportion of light and heavy industries,numbers of employment population since 2000 etc,as a consequence of insufficient research on Iran in China and other countries, plus the difficult situation of collecting materials.Moreover,it is quite hard to make any innovation on industrial transformation theories aside from some exploring work due to author's knowledge cumulation.There are five parts in this article: Chapterâ… ,exordium,which briefly conclude the background of subject,general depiction of related documentation.The analysis of factors influencing industry structure.
