With high growth of Chinese economy and joined WTO,many enterprises' logistics functions come off its organization. It makes enterprises concentrating on improving core competition. It brings huge development opportunities for the third-part logistics industry.The third-part logistics (TPL) industry is an emerging industry, and Chinese third-part logistics industry is at the start stage. As domestic market of TPL opening to the outside world, our TPL enterprises are facing with the problems of separatist regime, low level of service management, lag infrastructure and the equipment, lacking of talented person and so on. In order to make a steady domestic market and take part in international logistics market competition, it requests our logistics industry to take the essential measures to enhance our own competition. The goal of this article is to discover the factors that restrict competition of Chinese third-part logistics industry, and then to propose the measures to enhance competition of our third-part logistics industry. This article first elaborates on the basic theory of comprehensions of domestic and foreign third-party logistics. Next elaborates on industry competition, Porter's competitive advantage theory and defines logistics industry. Then analyzes development condition and the development characteristics of Chinese third-party logistics industry.Analyzes the strengths,Weaknesses,Opportunities and threats on third-party logistics by using the SWOT method to discover the direct origin of essential factor of Chinese third-party logistics industry which includes element of market segmentation, market positioning, product, price, place, promotion. The indirect origin of essential factor of competition includes elements of government behavior, industrial clusters, strategic alliances, organization and competition condition, cultivating talents, information technology. The finally origin includes the core ability and the technological innovation level. The competition's essential factors of Chinese TPL industry basing on SWOT analysis, propose that enhancing competition of the third-party logistics industry requiring the government to have to pay attention to the guidance in the macroscopic environment, the reasonable industrial agglomeration, the measures of the strategic alliances among enterprises. On microscopic this article mainly analyzes the third-party logistics enterprises should enhance their own marketing. They can mainly sharpen the service ability, innovation ability, reduce the TPL cost, look for the accurate market positioning, flexibly apply combined strategy of marketing which includes product strategy, price strategy, palace strategy, promotion strategy to enhance Chinese third-party logistics Enterprises'competitive ability。This article's key point lies in: utilizing the SWOT analysis method to analyze factors of competition, combining macroscopic and microscopic. The main insufficient are lack of depth of theory and ability of data processing.
