Competition, technological progress and changes in consumer demand patterns lead to the development of competition. During these changes of development, the time-based competition has become the mainstream in the 1990s mode of competition. After entering the 21st century, along with the economic globalization, integration and the further development and acceleration of science and technology, how to quickly meet customer's diversity demands are the key points of supply chain and enterprise accessing to the competitive advantage, which is also the one of issues of enterprise managers'greatest concerning. This paper take the time as the advantage competitive resource, considering the price discount of manufacturer and distributor as coordinate variables, in order to improve the supply chain and enterprise earnings and fully meet the customers demands in the right time, we study on the optimal decision mode of two-echelon supply chain in MTO situation and discuss on the optimal decision mode under time-based situation with different information structures through comparative of numerical example analysis.First, the paper gives the reviews on the time-based competition, price discount and the decision mode of supply, also with the tools and related theory of supply chain; we elaborate the research background and significance of this paper.Then, under the condition of symmetric information, we establish two-echelon supply chain decision mode on time and price discount, through comparative analysis of three different decision mode in the optimal solution, we obtain that under the symmetric information of two-echelon supply chain the optimal decision mode is centralized decision mode, the optimal lead-time is outside impact of supply chain decision mode, the supply chain and enterprise earnings can be enhanced by increase customer price discounts and reduce manufacturers and distributors average lead-time, numerical examples are given note. Through these conclusions we can know the optimal decision mode ideas of supply chain under symmetric information.Asymmetric information in the conditions, taking the manufacturer lead-time as asymmetric information, through numerical examples discussed in the distributors overestimated and underestimate the ability of manufacturers to deliver, the price discounts affects supply chain and the enterprise's proceeds, from this research obtained that the optimal decision mode ideas of the manufacturer-leader decision mode and the distributor-leader decision mode, the analysis founds that the optimal decision mode is directly related with the distributors overestimated and underestimate the ability of manufacturers to deliver but not the decision mode of supply chain. Under the conditions of asymmetric information in the supply chain enterprises underestimated and overestimated the other enterprises both cases the optimal decision idea is workable, the optimal decision ideas have a very strong guidance and references to supply chain and enterprise in the nature decision-making process.Finally, the research of this paper was summed up, the further research directions was pointed out.
