The construction of comprehensive transport corridor is very important in the comprehensive transportation net planning of our country's traffic and transportation target up-to-2020.the transport corridor is a transportation trunk line or combination of several trunk lines which combined some areas. It is not only the backbone of the transportation net to take on the most or even the whole intersectional transportation task, but it is also the flowing carrier of the society's economy because it connects the production, distribution, exchange and consumption which passes through. So what impacts will be brought to regional economy by the transport corridor and how to use those impacts had widely gained people's attentions all over the word these years. And in respect of that the city at the endpoint of the corridor is always a big center city whether in the construction or in the planning of transportation corridor of our country., this paper has chosen the node city at the endpoint of the corridor as the study object to make a comprehensive analysis about the economic effects of the endpoint city brought by the corridor. The main studies of this paper are involved in these aspects:(1) The summary of the transport corridor's basic knowledge. First, this paper summed up the definition by integrating a large number of researches on transport corridor all over the word. Then make the conclusion that the transport corridor developed with the development of city by analyzing its development course. And this paper has also discussed the structure of transport corridors as well as its development trend. Lastly, made out the connotation of transport corridors studied in this paper.(2) The analysis about the mechanism why and how do transport corridors promote the development of the endpoint city's economy. First, this paper set forth the transport corridors' economic characters which are Turnpike Theory, Economy of Scale, Economy of Scope and corridors' potential energy. Then studied the relationship between the development of city's economy and its external transport linkage, particularly dug the significance of transport linkage to the development of city's economy. Uppermost it has analyzed the mechanism why and how do transport corridors promote the development of the endpoint city's economy through two aspects of demand and supply, besides, it also shows the process.(3) The analysis about what impacts do transport corridors brought to the endpoint city's economy from both the qualitative analysis and the quantitative analysis, and take Cheng-Yu transport corridor for example. From the qualitative analysis we know that transport corridors can bring the increase of the endpoint city's GDP, upgrade its industry structure, promote its business trade development, change its structure of economic space, improve its urbanization level and labor force's technique level, and enhance its radicalization. Through the quantitative analysis, this paper has set up suitable index to measure the development of transport corridors and the endpoint city's economy, and solve the variable choice using grey relation entropy analysis. Present the measure process of the effects that transport corridors brought to the endpoint city's economy using economic potential model. Moreover, it has done the analysis and calculation with the example of Cheng-Yu transport corridor.(4) Some suggestions about the transport corridor's future development. Include that it should be coordinated with regional economy and various levels' traffic and transportation construction and planning; besides, it has proposed that the transport corridors' future development direction is green transport corridor.
