| Transport Corridor theory formed in the 1960s, it is the integration of Regional economics, urban space economics, transport economics, transport geography and transport planning and other subjects of the theory and methods of formation of a new Theoretical system. Cross-sea transport routes theories are based on theoretical system of transport corridors, with local economic development needs and transport needs of the transport corridors of the practical application of theoretical system, its essence is through the construction of the sea bridge, crossing harbor tunnel, linking the land Island seawall and the cross-harbor ferry project implementation as well as its portfolio to land Island, the connection between the Island to make it through each other. At present, there have been built or under construction many transport corridor combined by the Bridge, the Cross Harbor Tunnel, and so on. The corridors such as the famous Japan Green Cross Harbor Tunnel, Italy Messina Strait Bridge, have great impact on the local economic, social development. So Hangzhou Bay Bridge, the Qiongzhou Strait ferry may also change the local economic structure, the structure of a major traffic impact. At the same time, China's economic development focus, the Bohai region and old industrial bases in northeast China, because of the barrier across the Bohai Strait and the railway network consisting of lack of coordination, lack of stamina for regional economic growth. Along with rapid development of the national economy, the huge passenger flow, logistics and commercial flow in the region force railway overloading. What's more, the lack of ability of railway cause a bad situation: passenger overcrowding 70 to 100 per cent, cargo less than 50 percent satisfaction rate, in particular, Shanxi coal transport, customs and out of transport, the coastal port transportation, and other serious constraints, the large number of passenger and cargo backlog of material. On the other hand, the situation also forced out of the large number of passengers and cargo around the Shandong Bohai Bay "C"-type transport, access to further aggravate the tense situation of the customs form the growing problem of a vicious cycle. This pattern of transport not only lead to a huge waste on time, capacity and transportation costs, but also exacerbated by the transport and energy double tense situation which has greatly inhibited the old northeast industrial base and the Bohai region's economic development. It is necessary to build transport corridor across Bohai Straits on the background of regional ties strengthened, the pursuit of economic efficiency and energy shortage now days. If the transport corridor was finished, it would be much shorter to cross the Bohai Sea than it was now; therefore, it was no doubt that the transport corridor would play a very important role in promoting the economy and social development of northeast, the Yangtze River Delta and the Bohai Rim region. The building of the Bohai Strait sea transport corridors of the integrated transportation system in the core requirements. According to different modes of transport as well as the technical and economic characteristics, the building could lead to reasonable distribution of various transport resources, and promote the coordinated development of transport means to ensure that the transport system improve overall operating efficiency. This essay, which is based mainly on the current researches and theories about transport corridor, combining with the built of transport corridor at home and abroad, analyzed the reasonable modes of transport and regional development. The author, from the view of regional economic development, introduced a multi research in the field of theory and method to analyze the problems of rational allocation of modes of transport as well as the transport system optimization, and gave an evaluation to stimulating effect of transport corridor crossing Bohai Straits. |
