During these years the autonomous learning has been popular in educational psychology at home and aboard. The autonomous learning can be of real significance in the implement of creative education and diathesis education. And the autonomous learning provides a felicitous interface for network course in its primary stage. When the autonomous learning is aided by network, network techniques work as a tool to help human cognition and a platform for sharing information. Furthermore, the network environment facilitates individually autonomous learning and promotes communication and operation between learners.From the viewpoint of combination of network techniques and autonomous learning as well as based on Western Economics for higher vocational schools and colleges, the network course for autonomous learning is designed.The thesis consists of five parts.In part one, a question for discussion is put forward. Research purpose, research significance and research method are all discussed.Part two talks about the setup of network courses and the teaching of Western Economics in these schools and colleges. Meanwhile I have analyzed some network courses, the teaching of Western Economics, fine courses and learning websites for specialty. It is found that some problems exist in the network courses of Western Economics. Moreover the future development of the network courses in these schools is also analyzed.Part three explores the characteristics and connotation of the network courses for autonomous learning, by means of abstracting the definition of courses, network courses and autonomous learning. Based on theoretical foundation of the network courses for autonomous learning, the design principles of these courses are raised. With the help of theoretical research, the composition of these courses is analyzed.With the foundation of Western Economics for higher vocational schools and colleges, based on the characteristics of both the courses and the learners, it is proposed that these courses is composed of the course summary, teaching content and the environment of network learning. The paper deliberates the design methods and principles of the course summary and teaching content. It also discusses the main function and design principle of network learning environment in detail.The fifth part of the paper summarizes the whole research, generalizes the conclusion and points out the disadvantages of the research and direction of the research in future.
