Research On The Economic Growth Under The Constraint Of Resource

Resource is an old topic, but has not been taken into consideration since the advent of economy. With the development of economy, resource scarcity is becoming more and more important, and resource constraint has become a world-wide matter. Economic growth should rely on the consumption of natural resource, but they seem to be limited.This paper wants to show the importance of economic development by the way of investigating the impact of resource constraints on economic growth. In the research, we first examine the relationship between resource and economic growth from both theoretical and empirical perspective and come to the conclusion that resource does have the potential effect on economic growth. For this matter, we mainly use two indicators: contribution rate of economic gross and economic growth from resource and resource industry. The results show that natural resource has obvious impact on economic growth. Then, we regard resource as an independent variable and take it into the economy growth model. We just use energy industry and iron and steel industry to do the empirical research as the data inadequate. We also use EVIEWS software and the outcome support that resource has considerable contribution to economic growth in our country. At last, we give out some suggestions on how to show the effect of resource constraints on economic development indicators.This paper mainly discusses the importance of economic from resource, and we only can fully use natural resource under the condition that we clearly realize the importance of natural resource to us. We should give in the old thinking, such as 'Resource is unlimited' and so on. However, there are a variety of resource and the problem of collecting data; we could not do some further research. It is undoubted that resource has the important effect on economic growth.
