A Study On Supplier Evaluation Model And System Based On Supply Chain Management

As the basic industry of the country, Chinese construction industry suffered low competence caused by technoledge weakness and low production performance. It is an important way to promote industry competence by introducing and applying the Supply Chain Management. Supplier evaluation is the first problem to be resolved. This paper focuses on the material supplier evaluation because of the vital importance of material cost possessing in the project cost management. Supplier evaluation contains several characteristics as below: the many indicators, the large scale records, the great relative degree, the low transparency etc., with the high un-structural feature, which leads to a complicated process of decision making and the difficulty to solve the problem in a single way. One of the effective settlements is to apply modern evaluation theory and new calculating method into the practice of supplier evaluation in order to improve the accuracy of evaluation. The other is to adopt the advanced information processing technology such as setting up a supplier evaluation intelligent decision support system.First of all, the paper studies the features of Construction Supply Chain Management, the promotion of core competence of applying CSCM, the supplier relation management based on CSCM and a set of indicator is given in concern with the features.Secondly, the advantages and disadvantages of current supplier evaluation methods are analyzed, especially methods based on rough set or support vector machine. An evaluation decision model is established based on the combination of rough set and support vector machine, of which the principle is instructed as below: to pre-classify data based on rough set; to get the rules and optimization subsets of reasoning; to get the training data set; and then classify the training data set through 1-v-1 method based on support vector machine. Then the supplier evaluation intelligent decision support system is designed and the framework of IDSS is given.Lastly, the paper offers a whole example of supplier evaluation which verifies the rightness and preciseness of the decision-making model on background of supply management of a corporation.
