A Study On The Problem Of Rural Urbanization In Yangzhou

The urbanization is the universal development direction of current world, and is acknowledged as one of the most prominent social economy phenomena in 21st century. The rural urbanization is the important component of the urbanization, and it is the inevitable process of transition from a conventional agriculture society to a modern industry one, at the same time, it is also the inevitable direction of modernization. The rural urbanization of Yangzhou city is one representation of Chinese rural urbanization, so it is used as a research object. Based on the method including Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), Delphi and Synthetic index, detailed investigations have been conducted on the problems which may be occurred in the process of the rural urbanization of Yangzhou city. As a result, some measures for improving the development of the rural urbanization of Yangzhou city have been given considering the practical circumstance of Yangzhou city. The major contributions of the author's research work are as follows:Firstly, the background of the work has been described, and the development of rural urbanization theory has been summarized. Then, research context and technology program of this paper have been described simply. Also the fundamental research framework of this paper has been given. In order to divide the several economic concepts which are related with the rural urbanization, the meaning of the rural urbanization has been redefined. The basic characteristics of the rural urbanization have been analyzed and some fundamental research theories have been concluded which are related to the rural urbanization.Secondly, based on research results of synthetic evaluation system in domestic and abroad, the synthetic evaluation system for analyzing the rural urbanization of Yangzhou city has been established combined with the availability of statistical data. The stage judgment criterion for estimating the development level of the rural urbanization has also been constituted. Then, the development level of the rural urbanization of Yangzhou city has been estimated by using the present synthetic evaluation system and stage judgment criterion, as a result, the problems occurred in the rural urbanization development process of the city have been founded.Lastly, considering the practical condition of Yangzhou city and according to the development measures applied by developed countries, some measures which are consisted of five aspects for improving the rural urbanization development of the Yangzhou city have been given in detail.
