The Studies On The Regional Economic Discrepany And The Harmonious Development In Jinlin Province

Regional economical discrepancy refers to the present situation and its changable trend of disequality in the development level between two or morc severral regions.The problem emerged with the adoption of the development strategy of industrialization in the course of modernization in countries all over the world after 1950s.And in our country it results from the adoption ofthe gradient-development strategy.The reality of discrepancy has given a new impulse to the development of economical theories.There are some anguements from different aspects on the equalized and disequalized development abroad,and some macroscopic domestic reserch on this problem.Jilin province for an example,this article will study the problems from the mid aspect.Based on the theory of regional economic discrepancy, the paper will give a numerical discription of the conditions of discrepancy by percapita GDP and appraise the absolute discrepancy by ranges at the some time,and appraise the relative discrepancy by extreme value relative ranges,coefficient of variation,weighted coefficient of variation.Emphatically the article will analize systematically the conditions of discrepancy among all the cities of regional rank of Jilin,then will give a historical view of the mobilityof the disrepancy according to the statisties from 1995 to 2004.And in the end the conlclusion will be drawn that the existant trend of discrepancy befween all the cifies of regional rank of Jilin is upwards.After a criticizing discription otheories on the long term deverlopment trend of regional economy,it will be found that the developmen trend of the discrepancy befween different regions of Jilin province accord with G.J Williamson,s"Reversed-U Theory".It will aiso be predicted that in a long peried of the future,the dispersion trend be kept for the gap shown in the discrepancy befween the deverlopment of all the regions of Jilin province,and this can prove that the road of coordinate deverlopmenl is a necessary strategic choice for Jilin province regional economical development.In the end ,the suggection about Jilin regional economical development in a harmonious way coiclbe put forwuard.
