Research On The Determining Of Leading Industry In Northeast Area

The changement of industrial structure is the center of the growth of the modern economy. Because the industrial structure had become a mark of regional economy, so if the regional economy wants a sustained, rapid and sound development, the industrial structure must be optimized. An important content of optimization is how to choose leading industry. The correct determining of regional leading industry affects the orientation and speed of the whole regional economy. In this paper, the author analyzes the key index of industry in northeast, raising some suggestions about regional industry development.There are two sections except the introduction in this paper.The first section focuses on academic study, some related notions are included. Based on the brief reviewing of theories related to regional leading industry ,the author defined the leading industry ,explained the difference between leading industry and mainstay industry ,and analyzed the choosing criteria ,choosing principles, constrains conditions. Choosing leading industry should analyze regional leading industry should analyze the industries by five norms such as Norm of Demand's Income Elasticity etc., consider six constraints such as regional economic development phases etc., keep to some principles such as the purpose of choosing regional leading industry etc.The second section focuses on facts. The author applies the theory to practice and puts forward some useful plans on how to develop regional economy in northeast area.
