At present coastal tourism resource is one of the tourism resources which are thewildest and the most potentially developed in the world. Coastal area is the mostattractive place. It develops quickly and its scale is the largest in Shandong, in China evenin the world. With the further development of domestic tourism industry, coastal tourismbrought huge profit, while it destroyed the social culture, resources and environment. In abrief, coastal tourism is unsustainable in most areas in China.Considering the problems existing in the development of coastal tourism andresearches on sustainable development's method from various aspects, the paper analysesthe structure of coastal tourism system from driving force tourism system firstly. Then itconstructs the driving force model of coastal tourism development, and discusses thedriving forces in different market supply and demand period. Finally it analyses thedriving force factors of coastal tourism development, makes management subsystemcoordinate the development of resource-environment, economy and society-culturesubsystem. As before-mentioned, it could forecast and solve the problems existing in thedevelopment of coastal tourism. Coastal tourism sustainable development will come true.The paper totally includes seven chapters with the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixthchapters constituting the body part. The first chapter is the basis of the whole paper whichintroduces the researches on tourism system, coastal tourism and tourism sustainabledevelopment, discusses the area, definition of coastal tourism and natures, structure ofcoastal tourism system. The second chapter analyses the driving force mechanism ofcoastal tourism sustainable development, and constructs the driving force model ofcoastal tourism development, then it explains the driving force model in different marketsupply and demand period with economic method. The third, forth, fifth and sixthchapters analyze the driving force factors of coastal tourism development fromresource-environment, economy, society-culture and management subsystem, andintroduces the actualities and problems of Qingdao's coastal tourism. On this basis, theseventh chapter puts forward some driving force strategies to achieve coastal tourismsustainable development in Qingdao.
