EU has been the second largest energy consumption region in the world, but its energy reserves are very limited, so EU has to import a huge number of energy to satisfy its energy consumption. Nowadays, the EU has been the largest energy import region in the world and the main energy it import are crude oil and natural gas. Great energy dependence on the outside region has endangered the security of the EU energy supply. This article based on the analysis of the EU energy status including the EU energy supply, consumption and import etc, try to find out the main influence factors to the EU energy import. But there are so many complicated factors influence the EU energy import, but it is so difficult to establish a model including all the factors or a majority of factors. So this article just chooses some important influence factors and analyzes them in quantifying separately and compares the effect. At last, it finds out that the largest influence factors are EU industry and transport department energy consumption, the output of renewable energy can decrease the pressure on EU energy import in certain extent, but the import price of crude oil and natural gas and the Euro exchange rate have very little effect on the EU energy import.Based on the analysis of the EU energy import influence factors, this article analyze the EU energy policy and Chinese energy, and find that there are some successful EU energy policy experiences which China can use for reference. At last, this article brings forward the corresponding policy suggestion on how to decrease the dependence on the energy import for China.
