As the especially big center city of west,fast economic development and properous tour industry,has brought favorable opportunity to develop economy hotels in Chengdu.Since econmy hotels disembark Chengdu in 2002,it has already appeared many international,domestic and native brand of economy hotels such as Ibis,Super8,Maruika Express Inn,Star of Jin Jiang,Home Inns,Saijar-inns,Anyi 158.However,in western developed country,the proportion of the economy hotel and luxury star hotel is normally 7:3,and in Chengdu,economy hotels are still in the initial stage.Moreover,along with the development of economy hotels in Chengdu,it appears many problem,such as the aspect of developing strategy and the operation and management,these problems will restrict the long-term development of economy hotels in Chengdu.Based on the investigation,this paper puts forward some suggestion of developing economy hotel in Chengdu,mainly from the aspects of developing strategy and management,this is the starting and the last point of the research of this paper.The research structure of this paper is as follows:Preface:this part has looked back the development of domestic and international economy hotels and research condition;Then has expound background,purpose and meaning of the study,and elaborated the research frame and technique of the full text.The first chapter The Meaning and Theoretical Foundation of Developing Economy Hotels:this chapter elaborated the characteristic and meaning of economy hotel and the theoretical foundation of developing economy hotel.The second chapter The Present Situation of Economy Hotels in Chengdu:this chapter particularly analyzes the development survey,the space expanding and the hotel characteristic of economy hotels in Chnegdu.The 3rd chapter The Marketing Analysis and Developing Strategy of Economy Hotels in Chengdu:this chapter gives analysis about tourist market and supplying market of economy hotels in Chengdu;through roll investigation,Appraises the customer's behaviour of economy hotels in Chengdu;At the same time ,adopts the method of SWOT analysis and Porter Model to analyze the developing condition of economy hotels in Chengdu;In end,puts forward the developing strategy of economy hotels in Chengdu.The 4th Chapter The Operation and Management of Economy Hotel in Chengdu:this chapter mainly analyzes the present situation of operation and management of economy hotels in Chengdu and the main problem such as the aspect of management idea,management and operation pattern,brand management,quality of svervice,human resource management,an puts forward some views of developing economy hotel in Chengdu.Conclusion:this part has carried on the brief summary to the full text and placed the hopes on to the development of economy hotels in Chengdu.
