Research On IBM SUR Project Logistics Transportation Service SLA-Based

With the development of our country transportation shipping industry, the transportation service plays an important role in the logistics system, at the same time ,the transportation expense holds the very great proportion in the logistics total cost.. But for a long time, the organizations and enterprises engaged in the logistics transportation service still limits in the reforming of original transportation domain, caused the service content to be unitary and the transportation efficiency to be not high. So, with the arrival of"service economy"time, How does the logistics transportation adapt the request of logistics development in the modern time? How to provide the better service for the client? These problems still puzzle us.This article firstly summarized the predecessor's research in the form of some paper summary, with the advent and development of Services Science Management and Engineering , that can have the new influence on the logistics. The logistics transportation based on the SLA can satisfy the individual and special need of logistics transporting for the consignor, it may manifest the user the individuality demand through the QoS concrete description. On the basis of IBM Shared University Research Program project , We has defined XML Schema which the logistics transportation needs, and has analyzed this XML schema based on JBuilder XML-DBMS, has realized from XML Schema to the database relations schema transformation,has analyzed the participation person who the logistics transportation involves in details, and then drawn out SLA.We make some description of the strength and weakness for adopting SLA. Under the theoretical frame of SSME, describe the connotation and property of logistics transporting service, define and analyze the QoS parameter of logistics transportation service .The paper describes the mechanism of the transportation service and the process for supplying the logistics transportation service drove by the QoS on the basis of the above.Secondly, the article pays attention to some factors that will influence the price of the transportation service. Have analyzed the game between the supplying and demanding in the logistics transportation market, show the game process of the pricing and pointed out some aspects that the carriers need to pay much attention when make the serving price. We propose a new form of service level agreement where the price is determined by the QoS actually delivered.At last, when there is a QoS gap between the carrier and the consignor , we show how a reputation mechanism can use side-payments (i.e. clients get paid for submitting feedback) to make it rational for all clients to truthfully share their feedback. Moreover, when a reputation mechanism has a small number of"trusted"reports we show that rational clients will not collude in order to artificially decrease the reputation of a service provider.
