China maintained a high speed of economic growth since reform and opening. The regiondifference was enlarging from the aspect of regional economy. Although rapid, compared with otherprovinces in eastern, the development of economic was not satisfying in Inner MongoliaAutonomous Region. At present, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is in a new stage ofeconomic take-off, how to keeping a rapid growth of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region economyurgently needs to be researched. The theory of new-economic growth points out that human capitalis the most important factor in economic growth, the investment in education and training is thesource of economic growth. Researching the status quo of the human capital and its effect ineconomic growth, finding out the existent problems, putting forward investment and accumulationstrategy of human capital has important realistic meaning for promoting Inner MongoliaAutonomous Region economic long-term growth.Based on the theories of western human capital and economic growth, the thesis makesempirical research on the influence of save human quantity and material capital save quantity toeconomic growth in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region by choosing time series data of humancapital and material capital between 1978 and 2005 making use of Cobb-Douglas model and Lucasmodel, and worked out the output elasticity of human capital and material capital by statisticalanalysis method, sequentially got the contribution of human capital material capital to economicgrowth, then calculate out the contribution of comprehensive factor though equation of economicgrowth. It is discovered that the contribution rate of material capital was the highest, human capitalwas higher and total factor productivity was the lowest in the factors which promote InnerMongolia Autonomous Region economic growth.
