The great success of Six Sigma Management in GE is drawing high attention world-widely. More and more enterprises have discovered the value of Six Sigma Management in practice. It has being applied from the initial electronics industry into the general manufacturing, bank, insurance and other services, even e-business.At the same time, Six Sigma Management has been evolving from the initial quality improvement method into a perfect management system for continuous improvement, enhancing competitiveness and customer satisfaction, improving the operating performance.At present, there are some domestic enterprises implementing Six Sigma Management, including Lenovo, ZTE, Baosteel, etc, and have achieved big success. However, more domestic enterprises are not familiar with this advance management system. They have kinds of erroneous understanding and do not know how to apply Six Sigma Management into real business.However, the fierce market competition has been forcing domestic enterprises to improve product quality, service quality and comprehensive management capabilities. How domestic enterprises enhance core competitiveness with the application of Six Sigma Management? This dissertation focuses on study on this issue.First, the paper describes the origin, the basic meaning, the organizational structure, the improving model, the common tools, indicators and software of Six Sigma Management; second, the paper illustrates the application of Six Sigma Management in SAE. Third, the paper analyzes the problems found in application of Six Sigma Management in SAE, and then extends to common issues found in domestic enterprises in the application of Six Sigma Management such as the current situation and misunderstandings. Finally, the paper analyzes the necessities, difficulties and challenges for domestic enterprises to implement Six Sigma Management, and put forward specific proposals on how to implement Six Sigma Management.Six Sigma Management is an advanced, scientific management system and has significant impact on the development of enterprises.
