Research On Project Management Of Telecom Operating Enterprises' ERP

Along with the intense competition in telecom market, all telecom operation enterprisesstart to raise internal management standards by means of constructing enterpriseinformatization so as to improve their core competitive ability, among which the chief choiceis to strengthen enterprise internal management by means of implementing ERP. To realizecertain pattern of ERP project management so as to increase the success chance becomes thefocusing issue for telecom operating enterprises.Combining the ERP implementing practice of China Netcom, by means of analyzing thecharacteristics of telecom industry and the process of project implementation, focusing onanalyzing the difficulties and problems to be solved during the ERP project implementation oftelecom operating enterprise, this thesis, by further analyzing the implernentation process ofthe project by means of relative theories and methods of modem project management, andembedding project management process in each phase of ERP implementation based onprevious ERP implementation methodology studied by others experts, puts forward anembedded project management pattern suitable for telecom operating enterprises' activities ofimplementing ERP project to achieve the target of providing reasonable suggestions totelecom operating enterprises when implementing ERP systems, so as to reduce the risksduring ERP implementation to successfully realize the project. Hopefully, this thesis canprovide certain theoretical basis for telecom enterprises planning to implelnent or implementing ERP project, so as to push the informatization construction of telecomoperation enterprises.
