| The increasing trend of rural residents`income was slow in recent years in Xinjiang, andthe internal income difference of rural residents has been continuously, steadily, and slowlyrising. About over 60% Xinjiang people are rural residents at present. The expansion of ruralresidents`income difference should influence economic rapid and healthy development.This article studied general income difference of rural residents by Gini coefficient,decomposed Gini coefficient according to income sources, five equally separated methodsand Econometric models, and measured and analyzed income difference and its determinantsof rural residents between regions.The main conclusions are as follows: The Gini coefficient which can reflect the generalincome difference of Xinjiang is fluctuating between 0.3~0.4, it means the general incomedifference is in reasonable range, but it has been rising and higher than the national level. Thehousehold operating income is the main way in rural residents total income and its strength ofenlarging income difference is decending. Though the portion of labor income and transferingincome is not very large, but it is promoting the income difference.The Gini coefficient whichcan reflect the income difference of region has been fluctuating between 0.1~0.2, also at thereasonable range. The income difference of rural residents between the north of Xinjiang andthe south of Xinjiang is becoming smaller. The inequality on education between differentregions, the differences of natural conditions and the thinking concepts are the main factorsfor the regional income difference.In the end of this article, appropriate suggestions is givenbased on the above conclusions. |
