From the 1980', transformational leadership has become a new hotpot of the research on leadership theory in the west. Most of the leadership behavior measuring study focuses on the leadership effectiveness. Successful organizational development and organizational reform in China or abroad could be dramatically attributed to leadership effectiveness. Moreover, the development of non-state enterprise in China must be directed by leadership theories in the microscopic dimension.Based on the literature review on leadership behavior, this paper discusses the relation of transformational leadership style and leadership effectiveness of non-state enterprise in China. The leadership effectiveness is measured mainly by the job satisfaction of employees and job performance of employees. During the course of the analysis, the demography variable and organizational variable are considered as the control variable, which is discussed in the relation of transformational leadership and leadership effectiveness.This dissertation starts with review of abundant literature and summarizes the generation of leadership and leadership effectiveness theory, as well as the previous scholars' demonstrating studies, and then points out the goal and the meaning of the research according to the present research development home and abroad. Meantime, the model and hypotheses of present empirical research is brought forward.This paper adopts the Transformational Leadership Questionnaire which is explored by Li Chaoping and Shi Kan in China to measure the transformational leadership behavior. TLQ was developed based on the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire which was very popular in the transformational leadership research in western countries. The TLQ has four dimensions: Moral Modeling, Vision Inspiration, Charisma and Individual Consideration. Moreover, the leadership effectiveness is measured by two indexes: job satisfaction of employees and job performance of employees. The job satisfaction of employees is measured by Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (Short-form). The job performance of employees is measured by the questionnaire which was developed by Sun Jianmin, Jiao Changquan and Hu Jian. The job performance concludes two dimensions: task performance and contextual performance.This paper investigates the employees in non-state enterprises of Sichuan. SPSS 13 is adopted to do the reliability analysis, correlation analysis and liner recession analysis, the conclusion is fowlling as:1. The reliability of TLQ is validated in the organizational atmosphere in non-state enterprise in China.2. Four dimensions of transformational leadership have significant impact on the leadership effectiveness.3. Demography variable and organizational variable affect the estimate of transformational leadership behavior and leadership effectiveness.
