A Study On Regional Differences Of Peasants' Income In Our Country

Since the reform and open policy, the income of peasant in our country increases rapidly, but the development in each province is not balance. On the base of researching the income of peasant in each province from 1978 to 2004, long as 27 years, we can find out that difference about provincial income gap in our country, appearing the trend that expands during fluctuation overall and the phenomenon "club convergence" among east , middle and west region. By the theoretical analysis and practical research, we think that the main reason that bridges interprovincial income gap of peasant is physical quality and nonagricultural development difference among peasant in different provinces.So we should narrow the gap among different provinces continuously, realize the coordinated development of all regions by accelerating rural medical treatment hygiene system, complete rural security system, encourage nonagricultural economical development measures and so on. It is hard to draw a conclusion from single factor, when we determine the future development trend about interprovincial gap of peasants' income. Considering every factor comprehensively, especially government policy factors, we think that provincial gap of peasants' income in the future will be narrowed.
