Abstract/Summary:
China is one of the top ten wine producer countries in the world ranking. With unique natural and market resource, the wine industry holds some advantage that no other country can compete. However, the potential for grape and wine industry in China is far from fully developed. The total acreage for grapes and the grape production of the province only share 5.7% and 8.2% respectively of that of the whole world, the wine production occupy 4.3% of the world's volume. This paper fulfills an analytical research on the wine industry of China, with an aim to put forward measures and strategies for government decisions.Analyzing the structure and trend both domestically and internationally, the paper studied the main challenges and chances for China wine industry. Relevant wine industry conditions and enterprise characteristic were investigated to assay the favorable and restrictive factors of the China wine industry. The article also analyzed the growth potential of China wine industry; all these indicated China wine industry has been welcoming the second development high tide.Facing the opportunity, this article put forward three proposals: First, builds a intensive and sustainable wine industry. Second, centralizes the wine industry, integrates all business relate to wine industry. Third, gives effective government regulation to the wine industry, provides a good environment for the China wine industry.
