Corporate Social Responsibility And Government Function

The economy power of the corporate has grown up. As a cell of the society, the corporate has been tied closely to the society. One year benefit of a large corporate is equal to one year GDP of a middle size country. This kind of corporate must influence the market economy, and this kind of corporate must afford the Corporate Social Responsibility. There is not uniform definition about Corporate Social Responsibility internationally. It is said that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is that when the corporate make profits and be responsible for the shareholders, it is also responsible for the employees, consumers, the community, and the environment. The responsibility includes commerce morality, manufacture security, métier health, protecting legality rights of the workers, protecting the environment, supporting the beneficence project, endowment social service, protecting feebleness colony and so on. It is beyond that corporate had been only responsible for the shareholders in CSR. Its emphases are the social responsibility for including shareholders, employees, consumers, community, clients, and government and so on. It has been one century that CSR has been researched and practiced in western countries, and CSR was just born in China. Because of excess marketing, economy crisis happened in western countries. Keynesianism was born. Then CSR appeared. CSR is an active response and cooperate to nationality macro modulation. So we talk about CSR and the government work. At first it is totally planned economy in our country, then we turn it into market economy. Fortunately we can learn lots of experiences from western countries. We use more or less nationality macro modulations in the changing process. We bring CSR forward in the beginning. It is not enough for the corporate to take the CSR only for their consciousness. Government function is absolutely necessary. Lawmaking is the most important way to solve the problem. There are lots of other things, social consensus, building evaluation system, supervise and so on.
