Over the past 20 years, China's socialism market economy system has been steadily improving. Reforms in the economic and political structure are very closely intertwined and mutually reinforced. One of the notable performances of those interactive effects is the chamber of commerce. The Third Session of the Fourteenth Central Committee of the CPC had pointed out the importance of chamber of commerce for China's socialism market economic system. Now with the proceeding of reform, to be in accordance with request of the socialism market economy, the government needs to accelerate the transformation and transfer the power of functions, which should have been of the market, to market. As a social intermediary organization linking business and government, the chamber of commerce's perfection is very important for the government's transformation and the construction of the socialism market economic system. Especially after entry into WTO, the Chamber of Commerce needs to accelerate development, to meet the higher requirements of social development.Based on the analysis on the interaction between government and chamber of commerce, the thesis focuses on the Government's ideas to develop the chamber of commerce under the background of the transformation of the government function. Based on our country's actual conditions, the thesis studies the unique quality of the Chamber of Commerce and points out government's important role in the development of chamber of commerce in china. Meanwhile through the discussion of the foreign chamber of commerce model, it provides some references and enlightenments to the development of chamber of commerce in china. Based on the above analysis, the thesis gives some relevant recommendations on the development of Chamber of Commerce in government and chamber's aspects.
