The Vendor Selection Research Under Supply Chain Management

With the quick development of information technology and economic globalization, the life-circle period of the product becomes shorter and shorter. In order to adapt the diverse market demand, the enterprises emphasize the core competition more and more. They will gain the non-core resource of product from the vendor through the supply chain. Our country was affected by material circulation of plan economics for a long time so as not to set up a normative system for vendor evaluation. Now the vendor selection always based on the experience and personal relationship, which can't adapt the demand of the modern enterprise so as to restrict the development of the enterprise, especially the super enterprise seriously. So it's important to set up a model in which it absorbs modern management idea and mathematics method to judge the vendor completely and scientifically.At first, the paper introduces the importance and some processes about the supplier selection, provides summarize of related research; In this paper, an applying method of deriving information f rom a judgment mat rix and determining index proportion is discussed.On the base of the above, the fuzzy description of the dimensionless evaluation index for vendor product's quality, cost, price and supply capability term is done to set up vendor evaluation index system, When the AHP method is used in multi-layer and multi-objective group decision to decide weights of objective level and criteria level in multi-layer, multi-objective criteria system, the weights will satisfy consistent requirement of judge index to solve the many index evaluation of many vendors in the supply chain.At the end of the paper, an example is illustrated to show the whole process. And the result indicates that the process and the method are feasible and effective.
