Packing and printing is the"wedding gown"of products. A product without packing or printing is usually regarded as an unfinished product. Through more than twenty years'development, this field has made impressive progress. In China, the recent decade witness the rapid growth of packing and printing with mid-small size of enterprises as the main force. However, in face of severe competition, short product life-cycle, constant change of customer demand and technical innovation, these enterprises are forced to reform internal management in order to take more challenges.This reform involves the change from production-oriented to market-oriented, from extensive operation to cost control and from department management to cooperative management.This paper takes a typical mid-small size printing company as the research object and proposes several measures to improve company management through observation and investigation on its existing management problems. This paper is composed of five chapters:Chapter One introduces JKL Printing Co., Ltd and Xiamen printing market in detail.Chapter Two puts forward measures on company organizational structure reform, suggesting organization reform will help to solve communication problems among departments and to define proper management range of senior management personnel.Chapter Three puts forward measures on human resource management. A new scheme based on modern human resource management theory is raised in this chapter to deal with performance appraisal, compensation and training. Chapter Four illustrates a plan on improvement of production management, quality assurance and cost control.Chapter Five collects some ideas about future development of JKL from the perspective of financing.
