The high speed development of private economies has become a light spot of national economy, however, 85%-90% of which are all family-owned enterprises. Family-owned enterprises are the main choices made by private economies, so overthrowing family-owned enterprises is equal to denying private enterprises. The practical experiences drawn by European and American countries show that after overcoming difficulties of their starting-up periods, what decides fate of family-owned enterprises is whether they can transform their management from irregular ones to specialized ones. As a result, it is important to study the problem how to realize family enterprises' managing specialization by way of practises and theoretics.In reality, family-owned enterprises, family managements and specialized managements are a set of concepts which often confuse us. So strict definitions should be making on them and strict discriminations should also make in their relationships. Family-owned enterprises are realms from the basic level of institutions. Though there exist different definitions on family-owned enterprises, a common implication underlies them: these definitions all advocate families obtain powers of controlling enterprises. But there exist differences in recognitions and statements as to emerging foundation, realizing mechanism and form of expression. Family managements, based on these special relations such as consanguinity ties, relative ties and locality ties, act according to family regulation such as family ethics and conventions, and carry out management style of "ties": specialized managements refer that it is through those people trained by specialized firm management or having received specialty knowledge to carry out institutional, standardized and scientific managements.
