Family Management And Its Professional Transformation Of The Family Enterprise Research

Since 1978 when the opening-up policy was implemented, we have made great achievement in economic development, which has close relationship to the prosperity of private enterprises. Among private enterprises, most are family-owned. Obviously, family enterprises, as an essential part of national economy, play an important role in developing national economy and the society as well as in expanding employment opportunity for city and village people. However, as the enlargement of family enterprises in the whole national economy and the fiercer and fiercer competition in market, the model of family business management controlled completely by family members has exposed more and more problems. Meanwhile, a series of unprecedented trouble has been emerging in family enterprises. On this background, it is both important and urgent to explore how to realize the transformation of family-management model into professionalization-management model.This paper focuses on the management professionalization of domestic family enterprises. It begins with the basic conception of family enterprises, and then analyzes both the advantages and disadvantages of family-management in family enterprises, arguing that the model of family-management can not meet the requirement of enterprises development after they get certain scale and level. Therefore, it is necessary to implement professionalization management. However, on the process of management professionalization in family enterprises, credit risk and principal-agency problem become two obstacles. Finally, this paper puts forward three approaches to remove these two obstacles. There are five chapters in this paper:Chapter One, introduction.
