Research On Development Process Of China's Telecommunication Industry Since Reform And Opening Up In Our Courtry

With a quick passage of time, we are now standing at the threshold into this twenty first century. The tide of marketlization and globalization has become ever intensified in its strength in global development. China's telecommunication industry, the once natural monopoly industry, has gone through unprecedented impacts and is now facing both opportunities and challenges since China's entry into WTO. During the past 20 years of reform and opening up, China's telecommunication industry has undergone drastic changes from a state owned enterprise to a market oriented one playing a leading role in market competition in a step by step manner. It is an important task to solve at present how to enhance domestic and abroad competitiveness, and to further its restructuring and improve internal management of telecommunication enterprises, particularly after China's entry into WTO. The meaning of the thesis is as the following: Firstly, it helps explore experience, lessons and regular phenomenon of Chinese telecommunication. Secondly, it can provide some reference about the further development of Chinese telecommunication reform. Thirdly, it helps promote further research on telecommunication globalization after China' entry into WTO.Taking the development of China's telecommunication industry after more than twenty years of reform and opening up as the research subject, this thesis reviews the historical development of Chinese telecommunication industry against a backdrop of restructuring of China's telecommunication industry and from the perspective of telecommunication industrialization, marketlization and globalization which has gone though monopoly period, and introduction of competition period and early forming of competitive situation period.(totally three stages) Based on economics and history, this thesis discusses and analyzes the relevant truth and existed advantages and disadvantages of telecommunication industry development in three stages. Meanwhile taking some scientific data as a basis, this thesis also presents us a involving blueprint about telecommunication developing changes, which particularly tells and analyzes telecommunication historical development in three stages such as monopoly, introduction of competition and early forming of competitive pattern.The first stage was a complete monopoly period dated from 1984 to 1992 when China's economic reform just initiated from a state of weak foundation.
