The Beijing - Kowloon Railway is 2,536 kilometers from north to south of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Anhui, Hubei, Jiangxi, Guangdong, nine provinces and municipalities.It has been operated for more than ten years since 1996's.The construction of the railway has great impacts on the society development of the regions along the lines.To evaluate the impacts can find the problem existed in using the rail. So that the operation of the Beijing - Kowloon railway will be more effective to use and make a greater contribution for the region's economic development and social progress.This paper establishes the evaluation index system. Using principal component analysis, the paper calculate social progress index of the regions along the Beijing -Kowloon Railway. Based on this analysis to the index and the sub-index analysis between the provinces,the paper give a conclusion about the impacts of the Beijing -Kowloon Railway on the regional society development. At last, the paper take Jiangxi Province as an example, using regr ession analysis to analyze the contribution to the society development.Based on the above analysis, The main conclusion is that the Beijing - Kowloon Railway had great impacts on the society development of regions along the rail. Meanwhile, there are lots of problem to be solved in the society development of regions along the rail.
