We all know that, only in the situation of free trade can farewell reach maximum. The development of the theory of international trade, the trend of the world trade, and the reality of the trade of every country, all which tell us that free trade is the final target. But we all see that, every country, including development country such as America, takes different measures to protect its some industries, especially its Infant Industries. Then how should our industries do? This text regards the relevant theories of international trade as guidelines, go on overall and deep research of the protection of the Infant Industries of China.First of all, in theory, the text stations and explains the theory of Infant Industry of List, and defines"Infant Industry". It takes the problem of the moderate protection as most, that is how to protect the infant industry can promote the development of it. In reality, it analysis whether the infant industry can be protected in the trend of free trade. For this, the text quotes the protective provisions of infant industries and analysis the possibilities and processions to quote these provisions.Second, as we have many infant industries in our country, we take the industry of motor for example to analysis the situations of our infant industries. Moreover, it analysis if infant industries can develop faster after protection in theory and in reality, then it reaches the conclusion: in proper protection, infant industries can develop faster and even mature at last.Finally, we put forward some relevant suggestions to our infant industries. Because of the importance of government in the procession of WTO, it mainly analysis the measures of government, including measures in international trade, in industry. Also, it takes the corporations and consumers of infant industries in consideration.
