The Comparative Study Of The Sapce Distribution Of FDI In Chinese Manufacturing Industry

In recent years, the trend that China becomes the world's manufacturing center is obvious day by day. Meanwhile, the manufacturing industry is the subject of accepting the transformation and adjustment of world labour division. The level of manufacturing industry is determining the international division status of China during the economic globalization, and it is also the important embodiment of the international competitiveness. In this new historical time, position and function of the Chinese manufacturing industry are more outstanding and more important.While the development of Chinese manufacturing industry and foreign direct investment ( FDI ) are of close concern to each other. It is the industry department where China attracts FDI most. This is not only because the manufacturing industry plays a foundation role to economic development, but also is the basic carrier of the science and technology. It is the main stage realizing scientific and technical innovation under the condition of new revolution in science and technology.This paper analyses the development level and space distribution of the present manufacturing industry of China through a large number of examples, then draw the following argument: Though the overall level of manufacturing industry has already reached certain degree, there still lies such questions as unreasonable industrial structure, weak technological innovation ability. The distribution of Chinese manufacturing industry appears imbanlanced, with several leading industries concentratedly distributed in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang and other places. With the entry and adjusted location of FDI, some industry clusters of certain scale appear in the Changjiang Delta and Zhujiang Delta. Subject of FDI——the trans-corporation appears the trend of building such a lot of centers as manufacturing center, transnational sourcing center, research and development center, service center, regional operation center, etc., And these centers are distributed in Bohai Sea Area, Changjiang Delta and Zhujiang Delta mainly.The focus of this paper is how to promote the integral level of the regional manufacturing industry through introducing FDI and rational utilization of FDI under the new situation. And the focal point also lies in analyzing the current competition situation of the Changjiang Delta and Zhujiang Delta on the basis of similarities and differences. The main purpose is to find the profound reasons to this phenomenon. In order to make the analysis more convincing, this paper introduces FDI classical theory and FDI location theory synthetically, combining the thinking and analysis to the actual conditions of China.This paper puts forward corresponding strategic thinking and suggestions: Promoting thelevel of the Chinese manufacturing industry by utilization of FDI; Relevant governments should build out the favorable market environment and innovative atmosphere actively, Thus train, facilitate the powerful manufacturing industry clusters; Do a good job of the division of labour on the basis of specialization; Promoting the integrated degree of regional manufacturing industry. Industry cluster can improve the regional competitiveness and promote the international competitiveness of manufacturing industry of the area, even all the nation.Therefore, the conclusion is that: The establishment of world's manufacturing center of China should depend on such developed areas as Changjiang Delta and Zhujiang Delta; The two areas can become the base of world manufacturing industry shift, and the base of Chinese important system innovation center and technological innovation center; The Zhujiang Delta should regard CEPA as the opportunity of combining the leading function of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, promote the regional competitiveness, and the most important thing is to strengthen the construction of talent resources; The Changjiang Delta couldn't reduce the whole strength because of the inside galloping competition; Each area should suit measures to local conditions to develop the manufacturing industry, having their own characteristics each; Finally, we should adjust the industrial structure on the whole, improve the specialization degree, form several industry clusters with international competitiveness, drive the manufacturing industry level of the whole area, turn China into the world powerful country of manufacturing industry.This paper combines real examples with theories, taking Changjiang Delta and Zhujiang Delta as the research object, and comparatively studying the distribution and the reason of FDI in the manufacturing industries. It has a positive theory meaning in enriching existing FDI research, and there is certain practice value to develop export-oriented economy of the areas, strengthen the whole competitiveness of the regional economy, and promote the Chinese manufacturing industry level.
