Procurement, Inventory And Distribution Optimization In Supply Chain Of Retail Industry

Currently, furious market competition has shown an international and integrated pattern. Global retailers'competition is no longer only between the organizations, but among the supply chains. The supply chain management (SCM) is no longer an option to better manage and integrate the supply chains, but has been a"must"to make business success. From an integrated business management point of view, the functionally of SCM covers demand forecasting, planning,optimization decisions and executions from strategic, tactical to operational levels.Generally speaking, the supply chain in retail industry mainly consists of procurement, inventory and distribution, etc. This thesis presents the development of a few new modeling and optimization solutions for procurement, inventory and distribution in retail SCM.In procurement stage, the supplier evaluation and selection are significant and optimized by Fuzzy Extended Hierarchy Process (FEAHP) improved with fuzzy sets and multi-objective MIP (Mixed Integer Programming) model, in which purchasing quantity discount is also considered.In inventory stage, for another critical part in procurement stage of retailer's supply chain----Inventory Management, this paper develops a two-stage inventory-procurement simulation system,through integrating the...
