The new concept and new method on developing sand industry has been offered since the 1980s by Professor Qian Xuesen who is the famous Chinese scientist. His theory means that the agricultural knowledge industry including agriculture, forestry, grassland, sea, and sand industry will have been developed by making good use of the light, the heat, the wind and the land resource, and using the systemic project of modern science and technology. The sand industry is one of the constructive careers. Through more than 20 years development, it has been going through different developing stages from the academic and practical exploration, wide practice, to summarization. Under the guide of the sand industry theory, the new oasis agriculture has come into blossom at Hexi Corridor in Gansu. All of these practice and exploration has pioneered the new field in the agricultural production, and it has accelerated the agricultural integration development under making good use of the desert natural resource.This thesis systematically expatiates the actuality, problem, and suggestion in developing sand industry. The sand industry should be combined with increasing the farmers'income, economizing energy source, prevention and cure sand, and saving water irrigation, to develop rising agriculture which has the characters of greatly collection sunlight, saving water, high benefit and with new technologies. It should be paid more attention to technique innovation, to make the sand industry combined with the development of local economy and preventing from soil erosion. The sand industry should be developed at the higher and better level to realize the harmonious development between human and nature.
