Much research is put on the production control of a complex industrial process which is set in the steel manufacturing technique. The production scheduling system of steelmaking-refine-continuous casting is a complex metallurgical engineering system. The theory of system engineering is needed for its analysis to realize the rational and scientific management gradually, and the automation of enterprise production is realized with the help of computer technology.According to the characteristic of steel manufacturing technique, time-varied Petri nets is put forward in this paper. Systematic and intensive research is put on the production control of complex industrial process in the method of time-varied Petri nets, and then the heuristic algorithm for hybrid system based on time-varied Petri nets is put forward. The practicability of this technique is confirmed by means of the steel production control software system which is established under the direction of scheduling optimal search.Aimed at the characteristic of the complex industrial process, time-varied Petri nets is advanced for steelmaking-refine-continuous casting. Not only the variability and the controllability is included in the time-varied Petri nets. During the process time of one working place (from the initial state to the terminal state). The model of time-varied Petri nets is variable according to the operation and control strategy, and the changing principle is decided by the process model of working places. This model can solve the modeling and the control of complex industrial process effectively, especially in the modeling and the control of the sub-process, joining between the process control and the production control.Then more research is put on the production control for complex industrial process. Heuristic algorithm based on time-varied Petri nets is put forward in this paper. Heuristic algorithm is a kind of artificial intelligence algorithm, which is based on intuition and experience. This algorithm usually can get an approximative optimal solution in acceptable costing (such as calculating time or holding time), and the deviation level between the approximative optimal solution and the real optimal solution is unforeseen.At last,object-oriented thought is applied to the time-varied Petri nets with the tool of VB.NET, and the production control software system for the complex industrial process is...
