With the development of globalization, the concept of energy security has changed a lot and its connotation has also been enriched. The countries that have no enough energy resources to ensure their economic growth have to import a lot oil and gas from other countries. The problem ahead of them is how to cooperate effectively so that both the imported countries and the exported can reach the stage of win-win.China and Russia have made energy cooperation for many years and they should get great achievements in this area due to the stable development of their political relation, the complementariness in their energy resources etc. However the results are not so satisfying as expected. People wonder whether there is possibility to make great progress in this field.This thesis is trying to give some clues for the question. First, it deals with the backgrounds for the mutual cooperation such as the China's energy problem, the Russian energy diplomacy, the dilemma of energy demand in the Northeast Asia etc. Then it explicates the current situation of the energy cooperation between the two countries and discusses the motives behind it.After that, this thesis probes the negative elements by the example of the choosing the route of the Far East Asia oil pipe.At last, by the analysis of the positive elements and the negative ones, it puts forward some strategies and policies for China from the angle of view of their strategic relations, the energy diplomacy of the two countries, the possibilities of building up an energy cooperation regime in the Northeast Asia and the basis of communication for the common people in these two countries.This thesis holds that only these two countries overcome the influences...
