Intermediary business has the features of low-risk, low-cost and high-profit, which make it become the most potential profit increase point, one of the core business and the focus of the competition of banking. Our commercial bank should innovate and develop intermediary business market positively for the healthy development and enhancing the core competition of banking. Under the situation, it is significant to research the problem of pricing for intermediary business.â… . General statement of intermediary business.Intermediary business is the business which does not form the on-balance sheet asset and debt, and brings non-interest income to banks. It refers to the business activities in which commercial banks do not use or seldom use their own funds and replace the customers to do collecting and paying business and other committing business as mediator to earn service charge or commission.The essential nature of intermediary business is that commercial banks do not acting as credit medium. And the exterior characters are :commercial bank not occupying customers'funds or not occupying them directly, not applying bank's funds or not applying them directly, carrying out business according to customers'commission, getting profit from service charge and commission, bearing little risk.The variety of intermediary business is increasing, including 9 classes, and its sales volume and profit is developing in these years.
