Research On The Issue Of The Bank's M&A In China

With the quick development of the world economy, the banking in the world has been experiencing five Merger and Acquisition (M&A) waves since the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. It has gradually formed the world financial structure dominated by a small number of mega-sized versatile financial institutions in America,Japan and Europe. These mega-sized versatile financial institutions have been lift separate operational restrictions, they can satisfy demands of people and adapt to the development of the world economy, so they are the most competitive in the integration of economy and finance in the world.Several banks' M&A have also happened in China facing strong international bank's M&A waves and along with the continuous deepening of reform of our financial system since 1990s, preliminary results have been achieved. The five years transition period of WTO will be over soon, our country will gradually cancel the limits to foreign banks, opening the banking overall is an inevitable trend.
