Study On The Development Of Energy Cane-Fuel Alcohol Industry In China

Energy shortage has been a big problem in the modern times. To settle the problem, many institutions at home and abroad make great efforts to find other renewable and alternative energy resources. Based on 20 years' exploration, one of the best raw materials —energy cane, which has huge biomass and high production of alcohol, has been selected to produce alcohol as the fuel of the car. Developing the energy cane —fuel alcohol industry in China has a very important strategy meaning for the adjustment of energy structure and the development of alternative energy resources.There are 5 parts in this paper. In the first part, the background of the development and application on fuel alcohol used as petrol at home is presented. In the second part, first, the concept of energy cane is introduced; second, the feasibility and superiority of using cane as raw material producing fuel alcohol are analyzed in detail; in the end, the argument of energy cane is one of the best raw materials to produce fuel alcohol is demonstrated. The third part introduces the actuality of fuel alcohol industry in China, then it focuses on its present situation, characters and achievement, lastly, it discusses its encountering questions. The fourth part describes the present situation and development tendency of fuel alcohol at abroad, then summarizes some useful experiences by studying the progress of fuel alcohol in Brazil. In the last part, some countermeasures of development on energy cane —fuel alcohol industry have been put forward.
