Study On The Core Competence Of Urban District

While our city economy growth seeing its unprecedented achievement, new conflicts and problems which need to be solved and researched on immediately have emerged. Urban districts, as part of cities, are benefiting from cities'development, but on the opposite, confined by cities'spatial structure as well as the competence with other urban districts. Considering the problems of urban districts development, using related theory to support urban districts competence research, the dissertation analyzed the factors affecting the core competence of urban district and established a core competence evaluation system. It finally proposed the strategy for promoting core competence of urban district to provide theory and practice guidance for urban districts'core competence enhancement.Through introducing a series related concepts of competence, core competence, city competence, city core competence and core competence of urban districts, this dissertation discussed about its research on the theories of competence, country competence and city competence. It analyzed the formation mechanism of core competence of urban district on every aspects of gathering and diffusion theory, spatial function decision,industry structure, innovation and studied the case of LanHu district, JiaXing in its function decision. Also it paid attention on the district's own resources , surroundings and internal function in affecting its core competence. The evaluation method of the core competence of urban district consists of two methods. One is regional economy analysis, the other is SWOT analysis. This dissertation explained the evaluation process and evaluation system establishment of the core competence of urban districts on the base of related internal and external systems. It established our own evaluation system and used the principal component analysis method in weight selection. Our method is put into practice in the case of Banan district, ChongQing to study a more accurate way in analyzing core competence.Through practice and theory understanding, this dissertation proposed an overall strategy in promoting core competence of urban districts, including shaving the image of districts, rational usage of land resources, industry clusters, broadening the project financing channel, strengthening the management and nurturing of human resource.
