In traditional supply chain management, enterprises make their decision in-dependently to maximize their own profits. For the sake of profit protection, enterprises do not exchange market information. As a result, it is generally notpossible to maximize the whole profit for the supply chain. Recently , the study ofsupply chain coordination has received much attention. More and more researchhas shown that the supply chain coordination can maximize the profit for the entiresupply chain. Meanwhile, it can also increase the members'optimal profit. The purpose of the paper is to further study the supply chain coordinationstrategy. We introduce some stimulating and penalty strategies in the supplychain to make the members in the supply chain to coordination. Our study arein the inventory management from two ways:(1)the reorder point;(2)make theinventory periodic. In the method of the reorder point, the supplier is often lack of products inthe delivery. It may lead the retailer to loss profit due to the lack of products. As a remedy, we propose a coordination policy by introducing a random variablemeasure-o? coe?cient. We investigate the supply chain coordination between pro-ducer and retailer when delivery is uncertain. In order to make the decentralizedsystem works as a centralized one, we propose the penalty and bonus mechanismsto coordinate members in the supply chain. This policy allows a ?exible profitallocation between the members in the chain. It also put the supplier and theretailer to accept the coordination. An economics principle says that in a trading process, the unit product costdecreases with the products sold. Therefore, in order to reduce the cost, thesupplier always make the retailer to order more products through various kinds ofstrategies. For example, if the retailer order quantities of products, he is desireto enjoy lower price, a delay paying o? and so on. In this thesis, we present theinventory management for deteriorating items with quantity discounts when thesupplier o?ers a permissible delay to the retailer if the order quantity is greaterthan or equal to a predetermined quantity. We then characterize the optimalsolution and provide a global algorithm to find the optimal order quantity andreplenishment time.Although the inventory can help to improve the service and save the order-...
