Doctrine of the golen mean is among the core of Confucianism and traditional managerial thoughts.The tendency of the golden mean on behaviors reflects the degree that employees 'behaviors be in harmony with the others,himself /herself and his/her circumstances.A person characteristic of the golden mean is behaved as harmony in interaction ,stabilization in emotion,adaptability to new environments and flexibility in tactics.We carry out a large-scale survey by the questionnaire on one hundred eighty six employees from different enterprises in Beijing.The results are as follows:(1) Degree of the tendency of the golden mean on employees'behaviors has some relation with degree of education ,positon of employees and property of enterprises.(2) The tendency of the golden mean on employdds' behaviors has a notable ang positive effect upon their job satisfaction and performance.(3) Different factors of the tendency of the golden mean on employees' behaviors have different effecs on every factor of their job satisfaction and performance.(4) By the employees' job satisfaction , the tendency of the golden mean affecs their job performance.
